Apart from the West End theatres, museums, art galleries and sightseeing, there are many attractions within easy reach of the Hotel that provide a welcome refuge from the hubbub of city life.

Round the corner you will find the world famous Royal Botanic Gardens, where 300 acres of land and splendid glasshouses contain over 40,000 unusual and magnificent specimens of plant life and trees.

The National Archive (formerly the Public Record Office) is also based minutes away from the Hotel, holding 900 years of historical records, including the Domesday Book and the Magna Carta. A great opportunity to trace your family roots and view historical documents.

There are many splendid grand houses to visit including Hampton Court Palace. Home to King Henry V111, this stunning riverside palace and gardens is home to the annual flower show and contains the Royal Maze.

Alternatively, you can take a luxury cruise along one of the most beautiful stretches of the River Thames.

The Orange Tree theatre, situated in the heart of Richmond, always has a great show to see and boasts a unique atmosphere of an intimate venue.

Twickenham ‘The home of Rugby’ and Harlequin Rugby Grounds are within easy reach.

A little further away, sports fans will find the Wimbledon Tennis Club and Museum which is home of the annual Wimbledon Tennis championships.

Other places to visit include Kew Bridge Steam museum, Syon House and Gardens, the Musical museum in Brentford, Ham House and Chiswick House. The surrounding area is also an attractive place to walk at leisure.
